In the Studio: Ribbon Necklaces

I bought some beautiful narrow grosgrain and velvet ribbons in New York in May at the sumptuous trimmings shop Tinsel Trading Company.

I’ve had in mind (for several months) to make some ribbon necklaces and combine sewing and beading. These are the first two necklaces to rise from the work bench, now strewn with thread, fabric fragments, beads, buttons and wire.

More to come.

These went to Zuzu’s in Norwich, Vermont. Eventually you’ll see some on the shop too.
