Feast your eyes on the work of Danish interior stylist Gitte Kjær. I like her nod to industrial decay, without appearing stark or cold. I’d sit in that kitchen sipping tea all day—preferably poured from that enormous teapot clad in knit wool. And the paper rolls as artwork have me cooking up ideas for a few bare walls.
A room in white and black always speaks to me, but I have yet to have such a simple room in my life. When it all comes down to it, I crave and need color. The white and black palette is on full display in the winter landscape outside my window, so I’ll settle for that.
