Here in Chincoteague-an island off the coast of Virginia, where I came often in my youth-I saw this most ingenious use of vintage plates. Don’t we all have a series of mismatched saucers that we can’t part with, but don’t use often enough? Along a Main Street garden, here on the island, someone came up with this very clever edging. I’ll raid the cupboards when I get home and try this myself.

I love that too. I just take my mismatched, chipped plates with floral designs and tuck them here and there in the flower beds, hiding the chips. Not everyone “understands”!!

I use my broken dishes for flowerbed edgings, and broken flowerpots too!

That’s actually really big here in Louisiana

Hey Jenny, How great. I am curious how they’ll weather the snow up here in the north, but I’m still going to try.
